Sample Curriculum
for
Master of Landscape Architecture
3-Year License Qualifying (MLA)


Requires 90 credits, 6 residence units, the satisfactory completion of core course curriculum and a thesis or capstone studio.

Concentrations
The student and faculty advisor will construct a concentration with courses totaling at least 16 credits.

Historical Studies
Nine credits of Historical Studies are required. The student must enroll in either LA524 or LA525 plus two others. See below for courses within this group.

Theory
Design theory requirement is 3 credits. Courses eligible to satisfy this requirement are LA 486 Placemaking by Design (3 credits) or LA 590 Theory Seminar (3 credits).

Sequence Alterations
Any student wishing to alter this sequence must petition the Graduate Committee.
