The Grey Water Filtration Wall is a design element that filters grey water from inside the house, prior to use outside. Water from the shower, the sinks, the washing mashine and the dish washer are pumped from inside the house and filtered through this system, cleansed and then set out into the landscape for irrigation. The main components of this system include a primary compartment that acts as a biofilter comprised of rocks. From here, the water flows into a filtration pool that houses aquatic plants to continue the filtration process by means of the plants' roots. The last compartment of the system is a marsh which further cleanses impurities from the grey water. At the terminus of the system, the water flows out through a discharge pipe and into the landscape.
